Fellow network blogger David Shiffman is in the final laps of a $10,000 scholarship hamon. Take a moment and vote for him, isang beses sa bawat 24 oras! He is currently in the lead with a decent %3 margin, let’s keep it that way.

Salamat!
I am sure David’s efforts are a worthy and I am not necessarily speaking out against a vote for Dave. Gayunpaman, there are twenty candidates and each one deserves fair consideration. Wouldn’t you agree?
Of course I agree they are worthy of consideration, however I’ve been voting for David and encourage you to do the same. I’m not exactly an unbiased observer in this game, and never suggested the other blogs were not worth your time. You are free to make up your own mind!
Another finalist, Heather Cohen, is a grad student who’s research has direct benefits on human health and will help people suffering from autoimmune diseases such as diabetes, lupus, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, atbp. A vote for Heather Cohen is a vote for human health!
While I certainly support Heather and her research, I don’t particularly think a it’s fair to play the human health card. Conserving our oceans might not help a dying person today, but perhaps instead help feed a starving world tomorrow (no spin there haha!). But in my opinion, medical research is vastly better funded than conservation work, the money David might get would have a much larger impact.
