Dnešný mol je podhodnotený hnedý Crambidae, Loxostege brunneitincta. Aj keď to nie je nijako zvlášť strhujúci motýľ, má zaujímavý príbeh, ktorý ilustruje potrebu vedeckých zbierok a múzejných pôžičiek..
