Limen ankò seri a Lendi vè isit la se yon superbly: Melemaea kupkèyk (Geometridae).
Bote ra Sa a te deja sèlman te li te ye nan lokalite yo gaye toupatou atravè lwès la mòn yo ak sèlman ki soti nan yon ti ponyen individi tout lòt sezon. That is until Denver Museum volunteer Barbara Bartell began inventorying moths on her property near Golden Gate Canyon State Park in the Rocky Mountain front range. Over 8,000′ these moths turn out to be a regular visitor at her cabin blacklight and we now have the largest series known of this stunning species (and all perfectly curated!).
That’s a beautiful moth – even in the eyes of a coleopterist!
