You may have already heard the shocking news regarding the impending changes at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. Sed verisimilius est virga dimidium investigationis (including tenured curators) will be laid off and all research departments will be dissolved into “science and education”. Money will be spent modernizing the exhibits, all while gutting the scientific core of the museum.
