La primavera ha arribat fins al nord de Califòrnia i les arnes es troben en l'ala. Vaig prendre un viatge ràpid fins a les estribaciones de la Serra durant el cap de setmana i van caminar pels vessants costeruts per sobre de l'American River. Know this butterfly? It’s OK, no one really does. It is in the genus Apodemia (Riodinidae), but the taxonomy of this group is a disaster… and don’t even get me started on the subspecies.
